Waldameer Park & Water World

We went here for the first time last year for my 6 yo birthday and we all loved it. The fact that you don't have to pay to get in was perfect for us. I was 7 months pregnant so couldn't do the rides but could do the water park. Love that it's not as big as our local amusement park Cedar Point. Sometimes that is just too hectic and too expensive. Was well worth the drive. Ample and decent parking. Very clean. Employees were great. Concessions were pretty cheap. Awesome variety of rides, something for everyone. Plenty of benches. Lines were all fairly short and moved quickly. Plan on returning this year.

Very small park, but admission is free, parking is free, you can bring a picnic lunch and only pay for the rides you want to ride. Very family friendly! Very budget friendly! They have kiosks around the park to purchase wally-cards to access rides and add cash to your Wally card to make the visit more enjoyable. No more standing in lines at entrance or customer service to buy tickets. I've not been to the adjoining water park yet as it was not open for the season during my visit. If you're staying locally, most hotels/motels/RV parks have discounted day passes for sale, they get you access to all rides (and most rides run $3 or $4e so worth it if you have kids or are a big kid) if you ARE local or even just a seasonal...the season pass is the best option! About $100 gets you unlimited rides in waldameer AND the water park for the season!
