Merkel's Shoes

I am in my 30's now. My family has taken me to Merkel's since I could remember. I used to get Chucky Taylors there (before they became an over priced fashion trend). Their prices are normally either fair or good. If you are looking for work boots or hiking boots, this place has a great selection and amazing variety! They have a great selection of shoes too. Sure, you might be able to go on Amazon and find a better deal at times. But it is rare, and when you do, it is only a couple dollars at most. I would rather give my money to Merkels because not only are they a small town home business who has successfully lasted my life time. They are a staple in that town. It is one of those places that has been there so long that if it would disappear. the absence would leave an emptiness in that area. A pay less disappears. no one cares... But if Merkel's closes up. People wont be just disappointed. Locals may actually morn the loss. I know I would. Thank you Merkel's for a lifetime of excellent service, prices , variety, and comfortable footwear.
