As a new pool owner I was glad to find Yorktown Pools close by. That excitement faded quickly on both the service end (coming to my home) and water quality end (instore). After spending $1200 in an 8-day period on 2 "service calls" and bucket after bucket of chemicals I was left with pool water I couldn't swim in and a filter that was barely operable due to air in the system. The employees in store seemed to be guessing as to what to do as far as water quality and seemed to lack a real plan or confidence in their recommendations. When the lackadaisical and ineffective trips to my house were mentioned store employees just emphasized they can't speak for service. For their part service employees seemed to want to get in and out while doing as little as possible. Within a few days of going to another company I had crystal clear water and a fully functioning pump at a fraction of the cost I'd already wasted. Under no circumstances would I recommend Yorktown Pools. If they would like to discuss my experience I'd be more than happy to oblige.
