This is a diamond in the rough amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. What is unfortunate is the disrespect some people have when it comes to following the rules. Part of our hike consisted of seeing nature covered with graffiti, trash, unleashed dogs and people swimming and/or smoking where it is clearly noted neither are permitted. I am not sure what government agency is in charge of policing the park, but whoever is needs to be more proactive in protecting it or educating visitors about respecting and caring for their park!
