This was the WORST At&t retailer I’ve ever been to. To start off me and my girlfriend came into purchased brand new iPhones . We were approached by a gentleman who was very polite and after conversing with him found out he was new . He helped us buy new phones and purchase them, we paid the tax on the phones and the accessories we bought and left. So far so good right? Wrong. The next day I receive a call from the same gentleman letting me know that there’s going to be an additional $40 charge that I have to pay because I never paid taxes on the second phone. They blamed it on a “service glitch“ and told me the 40$ must be paid or I am liable to have to pay for the full phone. Okay how is a problem on your end the customers issue? I was willing to and paid for all the items I was told to at the point of sale and left and went on my way. That is not the customers mistake. Even so I try to be a good guy and agree, but let him know my schedule is very busy and I can’t come in right away. He tells me I can pay over the phone and I let him know I’m not comfortable with that. I get a call everyday harassing me about coming in and paying for a few days before I get a call from the manager threatening to call the cops on me if I don’t pay the taxes in 24 hours. Great customer service and very professional. After arguing with the guy about it I still decide to go in and pay the 40$ to end the situation.
The customer service in this place is horrible. The fact that the companies employees made a mistake, told us the price, and allowed us to leave thinking everything was settled to find out I must pay for their mistake is absurd. The entire time there was no apology or any accountability for the fact that the COMPANY made a mistake... that is sad. And to then threaten a customer for a mistake you made? That is the icing on the cake. Will never be returning to this terrible store and will never recommend anyone to a business that points the finger at the customer when things go wrong.
