On September 1, 2017 I visited your store in Paramus, NJ because while driving on the nearby highway my battery light came on and as I was pulling into the spot the car stalled. I informed your representative and asked to have a battery, starter, and alternator check. After waiting I was told the battery was bad and needed replacing but the starter and alternator was fine. So I agreed to the battery change and had it changed. On September 3rd while driving the same problem occurred so I went to the closest location in Stroudsburg, PA. The employee at the counter was in a rush to close the store and had a brush the customer off attitude. He finally did a quick test on the battery and said it tested fine and was safe to drive and recommended we take it to the dealer since it was most likely a dealer issue. The car stalled right at the mall exit so after getting the car started enough times and parked in a spot I went back into the store and asked for a check engine light reader. The employee came out and said our crankshaft was the problem and said there was nothing else he can do for us. At this point I had the car towed 2 ½ hours back home to the local repair shop. It ended up being a bad alternator and a quick change out. So two of your stores are clueless on basic functions of a car and wasted my time, switched a battery needlessly, charged almost $200.00 between battery and testing fees, and caused me to lose almost $400.00 on a ended early hotel room. So $600.00, lost time, aggravation, and lost faith in Sears. You need to have a retraining of your staff members!!!
