TL:DR Review of the Philadelphia Museum of Art Awesome: - The amount of art. I enjoyed seeing everything from medieval suits of armor to the modern sculptures that all amazed me. - Events and Exhibits. Compared to other large major art museums, PMoA are pretty active in switching it up. - Pay what you wish Sundays (First Sunday of each month). In my opinion, the museum is worth seeing full price, without a doubt, but on a students' budget, it helps to be able to experience it, regardless of my financial standings. Not so much: - The amount of art. (this isn't really a negative). If you want to see "everything", get there early, and expect to spend the whole day. - Crowds. Yeah, it gets pretty busy, especially with awesome events happening often. - Those annoying damn motion sensors above some of the art that go off constantly if you're too close to some art. Overall, as a resident and student of Philadelphia, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting if you have time, regardless of how much time you have.
This museum was pretty good compared to the others I have been to. There is plenty to see. I spent three hours there and still didn't see everything. There are beautiful exhibits that were made before this country was established. The "Rocky" statue was a bonus. The staff was helpful and friendly. This is worth another visit.
