My brother in law is in a nursing home just up the road from this unit. Because we live forty minutes away, we have had lunch or dinner here about a dozen times in the last year. It has reminded me of why I so often ended up in a Perkins when I was traveling on business. Physically, it is a Perkins, maybe a little older than most, but well maintained.
We have never been disappointed in the service or the food.
Last evening I had a meal of steak medallions with mushrooms. The meat was tender, the portion was more than generous, it was cooked as I asked and the mushrooms were fresh, not canned. The salad was fresh, sizable, and without a piece of kale in sight. Without exaggeration, I have spent two or three times as much for this dish in other fine dining establishments.
We have met the manager as he often visits the dining area. And we have always had servers who pleasant and well trained.
