He stabilized my foot from SEVERE traumatic injury, but later failed to properly repair it and I think he knew it. I just wish he would have told me that he needed to do additional work after the first surgery. I would have totally understood. It pains me to write this as he is a nice guy but - almost a year later, I saw a different Dr (initially for a different reason) who expressed significant concern for my foot - malunion. It required a total do-over and another several months of non-weight bearing - but it was so worth it. Now, instead of walking lopsided with a severely supinated foot, my foot is for the most part, flat again.
Maybe someday I'll add before and after x-rays so you can see the difference. I should also note, that I am still not out of the woods yet, but man it is a hell of a lot easier to walk now.
