While the cabins are beautiful, as well as the scenery, this place is a scam. We have stayed here numerous times and have never had any problems until now. When we arrived I had noticed an indent on the wall, some staining on the carpets and dining room chairs, and there were some clips missing from the Jets on the hot tub. We have stayed in many different cabins rentals, so I didn't think much of it, as numerous people have stayed in this cabin before. Throughout the weekend we followed their rules about showering before going in the hot tub, cover was always put back on the hot tub while not in use, we swept 3 times a day, used their cleaners under the sink to wipe down all tables and counters, and never let anyone out of the kitchen/dining area while eating or drinking. We checked out Sunday morning after cleaning once more before leaving. Everything was clean and the water in the hot tub was clear. We have done this same routine every time we have stayed here or anywhere else. Here it is Thursday afternoon and we are being called about being charged for cleaning and damages. Charges being, brown water in the hot tub, greasy countertops, stove, and tables, staining on the carpets and seats, broken microwave. Now, If there were issues when we checked out, we should have been notified immediately on Sunday. It does not take 4 days to decide there is an issue. Now, I do not mind paying for anything that may have been caused by my family. HOWEVER, everything I am being charged for are things that were there when we checked in. While I had not noticed the microwave, it had only been used one time to make popcorn. Making popcorn does not cause 4in of the door to be broken. None of my children can reach the microwave. Lesson learned here, even though it seems like something to expect from a rental cabin, take pictures of absolutely every issue you see when staying anywhere to cover your own hide. Hopefully they actually use the money they've scammed me out of to fixed the issues in their cabin instead of padding their pockets. As I was told they have had these issues before. If that were the case there shouldn't have been so many issues when we had checked in.
Needless to say I will not be taking my family back to this establishment and I will not recommend this place to anyone. There are numerous cabins in the same area, with beautiful clean cabins, privacy, scenery, TV's, wifi, cable, and hot tubs. We will be taking our business, as well as our extended family and friends business to those establishments.
PS. To the owners ---> It is time to replace your pillows. People who pay that amount of money to stay in your establishment should not have to use brown, slobber stained pillows. Which were not seen by us until we stripped the beds, as they had shams on them when we checked in.
