Completely mortified and disgusted by my experience today at Maureen's. I have been a faithful patron for years, since I was a child. I love supporting small town businesses. But after the girl at the window SCREAMEd my order in a rude, demeaning way (as she complained that she was sick of calling for my order) I ripped the bag of food out of her hand.
After I sat down, I heard her yell "are you serious?! I will kill you!" She continued ranting and raving about me within earshot, directly in front of other customers. She was vulgar, her language was offensive, and other customers in que were completely blown away by the blatant disregard of her mouth and attitude-- it was as if I had done something wrong to her my snagging my order. After 20 plus years, I have decided I will NEVER return to Maureen's.
I have been embarrassed and offended and am shocked that no other co-worker or management asked her to stop her harassing behavior.
I have worked customer service in food and retail, and this would NOT have been acceptable at any of my places of employment. Can't believe this was allowed to go on...
