Hoped to visit for dinner, relying on website that indicates dinner served 7 days per week. Called in advance to book a table but did not get a call back. When we arrived, (figuring that, since it is an inn, it would be open), we found the lights on and the tables set, but the door was locked and no diners in evidence, Monday, Oct. 3, 2016. Too bad, the building is lovely and well-situated. An update as of Oct. 4: a representative called to tell me that the owner had a death in the family and made the difficult decision to close. In the sadness and confusion, I guess no one thought to put up a sign saying, "Closed due to family emergency." No doubt most would have done the same in that situation. Condolences to the family. We send wishes for healing from this terrible loss and hope to visit in future. Photos indicate this is a wonderful place.

Staff is very friendly and willing to serve your every need. Room isn't the epitome of luxury, but I do have perhaps the smallest one in the house, and the building is over 100 years old. Overall a great and unique place to stay.
