Have you ever wondered why people dislike buying cars? Have you ever wondered why there are so many commercials that ridicule car dealerships for how they treat their customers? Castle Car Company is one of the reasons why these commercials exist. This is your typical dealership that could care less about their customers and standing by the vehicles they sell. I purchased a vehicle from Scott Janiel (owner) and Matt (salesman) in October of 2017. I had the vehicle serviced for the first time in March of 2018 at a service center near my home. When I picked up my car from the local Sewickley Audi shop, I was asked “Are you aware you are missing a belly plate?” Having no idea what a belly plate was, I contacted Castle Car Company informing them the part was missing off the bottom of the vehicle. The following is the response I received: “How do I know it didn’t fall off after you drove the car off the lot?” Really? I guess they thought I was attempting to scam them for an extra belly plate. Who wouldn’t, right? We all need an extra belly plate. After 41 days and 8 phone calls later, the belly plate was installed. I was told the job would take 5 minutes in prior phone conversations; however, I spent approximately an hour waiting for them to complete the job after driving 45 miles. You would think after confirming the appointment earlier that morning, providing Matt the time I would arrive; he would have mentioned that the mechanic would be on their lunch break during that time. I think they may want to consider enrolling in a customer service course or two at their local community college. Can’t wait to hear the dealer response that I’m sure will be filled with numerous excuses/ justifications to the events I have described and have thoroughly documented throughout the entire ordeal. It’s a safe bet that I will NOT be recommending Castle Car Company to anyone in my lifetime. Live and learn.
